RDFNL appoints Junior Football Interleague Coaches

The Ontime Delivery Solutions RDFNL is pleased to announce their junior interleague coaches for their respective 2019 interleague campaigns.

The announcement comes on the back of the senior coach announcement of Ben Tankard last month.

Daniel Mackertich will take over as Under 19 Coach from Chris Wilson.

Wilson has done a wonderful job for several years highlighted by a come from behind win against Central Highlands last year.

Wilson is stepping aside for 2019, but the league hope to have him back involved in 2020 as he is a fantastic coach.

Mackertich is from the Wallan FNC and the RDFNL is excited to have him involved with our Under 19 side who will take on the SFNL.

Mackertich will be assisted by Jason Williams from Diggers Rest.

Grant McMillan is continuing as RDFNL Under 17 Coach for 2019.

McMillan will be leading the side when they take on the BFNL on Saturday, May 11th.

Damian O’Connor will continue as the RDFNL Under 15A Coach in 2019.

Joining Damian as Co-Coach will be Brad Fox.

Fox, a former Essendon FC player will progress from the 14A’s in 2018 to the 15A’s in 2019, in what will be a great coaching panel for the upcoming AFL Vic Metro Championships.

Terry Crotty will be the Under 15B Coach in 2019 after a stint with the Under 14B’s in 2018

In a very exciting appointment for the RDFNL, Jason Rainbow will be head coach of our Under 14A Squad in 2019.

Rainbow comes to the RDFNL from the Western Bulldogs FC where he is the Head Coach of the Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academy Squad.

Rainbow has also previously been involved at the Western Jets and the WRFL.

Rainbow will be assisted by Craig Planner who brings a wealth of experience to the role.

The Under 14B’s will be led by Ian Theodore this year.

Theodore was an assistant in the 13’s coaching department last year and coached within the league.

Theodore will be another valued member of our coaching ranks.

Brett Grambau will continue as the Under 13A Coach in 2019.

Grambau coached the side last year during a fantastic campaign.

Chris Nemeth will also continue as the Under 13B Coach in 2019.

RDFNL Operations Manager Jordan Doyle was ecstatic to have such high-quality coaches involved in the program again this year.

“The RDFNL are very pleased to put together a Coaching Panel of this calibre.” Doyle said.

“To attract a coach like Jason Rainbow to the League shows that we are moving in the right direction with our representative squads and we are really looking forward to this coaching group helping showcase the skills of the talented players within the League’’.
