The Ontime Delivery Solutions Riddell District Football Netball League is pleased to release the 2020 Senior Fixture.
Round one will commence on Saturday, April 18th and be played over two weekends with two games taking place on Saturday 25th April (ANZAC Day).
The Season will consist of 16 rounds with each Club playing 16 matches.
There will be no RDFNL matches played over the Easter weekend (Saturday, April 11th) or over the Senior Interleague weekend (Saturday, May 16th).
As a result of clubs wanting to have a split round in Round 1, ANZAC Day falling on a Saturday and a bye for Interleague, the RDFNL has had to schedule matches over the Queen’s Birthday weekend (Saturday, June 6th).
There will be another split round in round 12 (18th & 25th July) to allow clubs a mid-season break.
The RDFNL has achieved a Fixture where all Clubs will play eight home games and eight away games.
The A grade grand final rematch will take place in round one while the grand final rematch in the football will wait until round five.
The ever popular PUKA Up Cup will feature in round two while captains will don the number zero for the TAC Towards Zero in round 12.
With a ten-club fixture in 2020 the finals series will become a final five format as voted by the Clubs in the Senior Survey.
The finals format can be seen below.
The RDFNL Senior Grand Final will be held on Sunday, September 20th.
RDFNL Operations Manager Jordan Doyle was happy with how the final fixture looked.
“The RDFNL are pleased to deliver a fixture where all Clubs will play eight home and eight away games after the Clubs requested a 16-round season,” Doyle said.
“Where possible the league has accommodated clubs request and we thank all of the Clubs for their help with the 2020 Fixture.
“We hope everyone has a fantastic break over the festive season and comes back ready for a huge 2020 RDFNL season.”
